Mumbles Rugby Football Club

Welcome to the Mumbles RFC Website - please feel free to browse the site and post comments on the Guestbook.

Mumbles Village is a popular and attractive seaside resort with a medieval castle and places of historic interest. There is a wide range of local shops, bars, restaurants and sailing facilities. Mumbles Clubhouse has a waterfront location on Swansea bay about 5 miles from Swansea City centre. The club ground is nearby in a picturesque local park.

Mumbles RFC was founded in 1887 and over the years has produced a large number of individual rugby players of outstanding ability, many have played at a higher level with neighbouring first class teams. Our best known rugby product is Geoff Wheel, who was the cornerstone of the Welsh pack in the successful national side of the 1970's and graced and captained Swansea RFC .

Mumbles RFC has established a reputation for hosting touring rugby teams from all over the world. It is a well known venue for conviviality and joviality. The club itself has also done its share of touring in England, Ireland, Europe and the USA.

The forthcoming rugby world cup is a special rugby extravaganza. All we say is, whomever you are and wherever you come from, visit us at Mumbles and experience our special brand of bonhomie.
